BODRUM

Bodrum

Bodrum is known as the pearl of the Aegean and its history dates back to the 7th century BC. In ancient times, the city was called “Halikarnassos” and was home to the famous Mausoleum (one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World). The city is also renowned for the magnificent Bodrum Castle, built in the 15th century. Today, the castle houses the Museum of Underwater Archaeology, showcasing the region’s rich maritime heritage.
Bodrum is not only famous for its history but also for its whitewashed houses, bougainvillea-covered streets, and crystal-clear bays. It is one of the liveliest centers of Mediterranean culture, blending art, entertainment, and leisure.
